In April 2013 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century Chinese Art, which included the work Double Nude Portrait by Chang Wan-Chuan. The result of HKD 30,000.00 (€ 2,936.66) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chang Wan-Chuan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Feast in July 2003 with an auction result of HKD 215,100.00 (€ 22,401.15).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im April 2013 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Double Nude Portrait von Chang Wan-Chuan zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 30.000,00 (€ 2.936,66) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chang Wan-Chuan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Feast im Juli 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 215.100,00 (€ 22.401,15).
