Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life by Chang Wan-Chuan was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 50,000.00 – 100,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 5,973.14) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chang Wan-Chuan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Feast, which sold at auction in July 2003 for HKD 215,100.00 (€ 22,401.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still Life von Chang Wan-Chuan kam im Oktober 2012 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 5.973,14) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Chang Wan-Chuan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Feast beobachtet, die im Juli 2003 für HKD 215.100,00 (€ 22.401,15) versteigert wurde.
