Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2011 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Nudes (with Chair); & Three Beauties by Chang Wan-Chuan. The price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 11,181.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chang Wan-Chuan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Feast, which sold at auction in July 2003 for HKD 215,100.00 (€ 22,401.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2011 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nudes (with Chair); & Three Beauties von Chang Wan-Chuan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 11.181,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Chang Wan-Chuan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Feast beobachtet, die im Juli 2003 für HKD 215.100,00 (€ 22.401,15) versteigert wurde.
