Auction result well in line with expectations
The work View From A Ward Of The Union Medical College Hospital by Chang Shuhong was sold in the Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art auction at POLY in Hong Kong in April 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 700,000.00 – 1,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 708,000.00 (€ 81,824.05) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chang Shuhong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Artist'S Family After The Bombing In Chungking in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 9,400,000.00 (€ 967,757.38).

Die Arbeit View From A Ward Of The Union Medical College Hospital von Chang Shuhong wurde im April 2015 in der Auktion Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 700.000,00 – 1.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 708.000,00 (€ 81.824,05) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chang Shuhong erzielen.
