Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Head of a youth by Cesare Dandini was sold in the Old Master Paintings and Sculpture auction at Christies in October 2021. Here, the upper estimate of USD 150,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 162,500.00 (€ 140,668.28). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cesare Dandini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Saint Michael The Archangel, which sold at auction in January 2009 for USD 542,500.00 (€ 423,695.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Head of a youth von Cesare Dandini wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Old Master Paintings and Sculpture bei Christies versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 150.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 162.500,00 (€ 140.668,28) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Cesare Dandini mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Saint Michael The Archangel beobachtet, die im Januar 2009 für USD 542.500,00 (€ 423.695,72) versteigert wurde.
