This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00 many times over. This high result makes Misty Sunset the most expensive artwork by Cen Xuegong that we have observed at auctions so far.
