Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Playa by Cecilio Plá was auctioned at Bonhams in London in March last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,462.50 (€ 5,290.80) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cecilio Plá - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spanish En La Playa (On The Beach), which sold at auction in May 2014 for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,435.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Playa von Cecilio Plá kam im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.462,50 (€ 5.290,80) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Cecilio Plá mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Spanish En La Playa (On The Beach) beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.435,48) versteigert wurde.
