Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Sleeping Chaperone by Cecilio Plá was auctioned at Christies in London in January 2013. The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,544.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cecilio Plá - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spanish En La Playa (On The Beach), which sold at auction in May 2014 for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,435.48).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.544,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Cecilio Plá mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Spanish En La Playa (On The Beach) beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.435,48) versteigert wurde.
