Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Thames Sailing Barge by Cecil Maguire was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2010. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,441.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cecil Maguire achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Waiting for the Boat, Kilronan, Inishmore in May 2004 with an auction result of GBP 11,352.50 (€ 17,032.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Thames Sailing Barge von Cecil Maguire kam im Oktober 2010 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.441,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cecil Maguire erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Waiting for the Boat, Kilronan, Inishmore im Mai 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.352,50 (€ 17.032,93).
