Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May this year Bonhams in Paris held the auction American Art, which included the work Right Cross by Cecil de Blaquiere Howard. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,840.00 (€ 3,604.28). Admittedly, works by Cecil de Blaquiere Howard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Heavyweight Boxer' in May 2003 with an auction result of USD 31,070.00 (€ 26,406.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Right Cross von Cecil de Blaquiere Howard zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.840,00 (€ 3.604,28) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cecil de Blaquiere Howard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Heavyweight Boxer' im Mai 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.070,00 (€ 26.406,60).
