Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Leg-Lock by Cecil de Blaquiere Howard was auctioned at Bonhams in Paris in May this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,560.00 (€ 2,402.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cecil de Blaquiere Howard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Heavyweight Boxer' in May 2003 with an auction result of USD 31,070.00 (€ 26,406.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Leg-Lock von Cecil de Blaquiere Howard kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.560,00 (€ 2.402,85) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cecil de Blaquiere Howard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Heavyweight Boxer' im Mai 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.070,00 (€ 26.406,60).
