Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Cecil Crosley Bell achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in February this year. In the Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer auction, the work Scenes from the Staten Island Ferry (a group of three) sold for USD 3,187.50 (€ 3,006.51) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cecil Crosley Bell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ice Skaters, Central Park, which sold at auction in March 2019 for USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,019.59).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Cecil Crosley Bell erzielte im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer wurde die Arbeit Scenes from the Staten Island Ferry (a group of three) für USD 3.187,50 (€ 3.006,51) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Cecil Crosley Bell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ice Skaters, Central Park beobachtet, die im März 2019 für USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.019,59) versteigert wurde.
