It achieved a price of USD 1,211.25 (€ 1,132.22), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 51%. Admittedly, works by Cecil Crosley Bell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ice Skaters, Central Park in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,019.59).

Die Arbeit Pitching Hay 13 1/2 x 18 in. framed 19 x 23 1/2 in. von Cecil Crosley Bell kam im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 1.211,25 (€ 1.132,22) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 51%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cecil Crosley Bell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ice Skaters, Central Park im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.019,59).
