Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Excited Horse (New York Street Scene) by Cecil Crosley Bell for USD 3,600.00 (€ 2,691.79). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cecil Crosley Bell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ice Skaters, Central Park, which sold at auction in March 2019 for USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,019.59).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Excited Horse (New York Street Scene) von Cecil Crosley Bell für USD 3.600,00 (€ 2.691,79) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Paintings bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Cecil Crosley Bell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ice Skaters, Central Park beobachtet, die im März 2019 für USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.019,59) versteigert wurde.
