In December 2008 Koller held the auction PostWar & Contemporary, which included the work Komposition in Schwarz, Rot und Gelb. 1987. by Catherine Lee. The »bidding war« ended at CHF 3,360.00 (€ 2,261.65), 34% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Catherine Lee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Listening Warrior" in November 2016 with an auction result of EUR 14,131.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2008 führte Koller die Auktion PostWar & Contemporary durch, in der auch die Arbeit Komposition in Schwarz, Rot und Gelb. 1987. von Catherine Lee zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von CHF 3.360,00 (€ 2.261,65) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Catherine Lee auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Listening Warrior" im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 14.131,00.
