Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2017 Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work Untitled (Modern, Obverse #4) by Carter. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,937.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Although, (with one set of perspective), which sold at auction in March 2013 for USD 20,000.00 (€ 15,605.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2017 führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Modern, Obverse #4) von Carter zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.937,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Carter mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Although, (with one set of perspective) beobachtet, die im März 2013 für USD 20.000,00 (€ 15.605,49) versteigert wurde.
