Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Doppelpilzvitrine by Carsten Höller was auctioned at Phillips in London in April 2018. The price achieved of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,524.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Carsten Höller have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hippopotamus in February 2008 with an auction result of USD 198,000.00 (€ 130,374.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Doppelpilzvitrine von Carsten Höller kam im April 2018 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 13.524,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carsten Höller auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hippopotamus im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 198.000,00 (€ 130.374,66).
