Auction result misses estimated price range
In October last year a collector was able to acquire the work Fourth Birch by Carroll Dunham for GBP 113,400.00 (€ 132,109.74). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 120,000.00 – 180,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carroll Dunham - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Integrated Painting Seven, which sold at auction in November 2017 for USD 591,000.00 (€ 496,722.14).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Fourth Birch von Carroll Dunham für GBP 113.400,00 (€ 132.109,74) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 120.000,00 – 180.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Carroll Dunham mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Integrated Painting Seven beobachtet, die im November 2017 für USD 591.000,00 (€ 496.722,14) versteigert wurde.
