Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study for Review by Caroline Walker was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session auction at Phillips in New York in November this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 33,020.00 (€ 30,271.36) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Caroline Walker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Threshold in March this year with an auction result of GBP 927,100.00 (€ 1,054,755.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study for Review von Caroline Walker wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 33.020,00 (€ 30.271,36) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Caroline Walker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Threshold im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 927.100,00 (€ 1.054.755,33).
