Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Augusto by Carmen Calvo was auctioned at Phillips in New York in September 2011. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,647.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carmen Calvo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Definición de la nada, which sold at auction in October 2006 for EUR 13,200.00.

Die Arbeit Augusto von Carmen Calvo kam im September 2011 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.647,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Carmen Calvo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Definición de la nada beobachtet, die im Oktober 2006 für EUR 13.200,00 versteigert wurde.
