Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included this untitled work by Carlos Rojas. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 8,593.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Carlos Rojas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 34,911.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Carlos Rojas zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 8.593,50) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carlos Rojas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 34.911,07).
