Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 Phillips in New York held the auction Latin America, which included the work Untitled (from the series Horizontes) by Carlos Rojas. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,103.28) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carlos Rojas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November 2013 for USD 47,500.00 (€ 34,911.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2016 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Latin America durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (from the series Horizontes) von Carlos Rojas zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.103,28) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Carlos Rojas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November 2013 für USD 47.500,00 (€ 34.911,07) versteigert wurde.
