Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2016 Phillips in New York held the auction Latin America, which included the work Jarras de agua by Carlos Rojas. The »bidding war« ended at USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,716.21), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carlos Rojas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November 2013 for USD 47,500.00 (€ 34,911.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2016 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Latin America durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jarras de agua von Carlos Rojas zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.716,21) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Carlos Rojas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November 2013 für USD 47.500,00 (€ 34.911,07) versteigert wurde.
