Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2013 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Carlos Orozco Romero for USD 5,938.00 (€ 4,364.25). This price was achieved in the auction Latin American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Carlos Orozco Romero have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Valle de México in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 23,500.00 (€ 27,794.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2013 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Carlos Orozco Romero für USD 5.938,00 (€ 4.364,25) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carlos Orozco Romero auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Valle de México im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 23.500,00 (€ 27.794,20).
