Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2005 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included this untitled work by Carlos Orozco Romero. The price achieved of USD 16,800.00 (€ 13,604.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carlos Orozco Romero - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Valle de México, which sold at auction in May 2001 for USD 23,500.00 (€ 27,794.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2005 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Carlos Orozco Romero zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 16.800,00 (€ 13.604,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Carlos Orozco Romero mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Valle de México beobachtet, die im Mai 2001 für USD 23.500,00 (€ 27.794,20) versteigert wurde.
