The price achieved of USD 13,200.00 (€ 11,195.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carlos Orozco Romero - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Valle de México, which sold at auction in May 2001 for USD 23,500.00 (€ 27,794.20).
