Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Aquí estuvieron los cubanos (I and II) by Carlos Garaicoa was auctioned at Phillips in New York in May 2017. The price achieved of USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,568.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carlos Garaicoa - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (from the series New Architectures), which sold at auction in September 2010 for USD 56,250.00 (€ 41,357.25).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.568,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden.
