Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2006 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Turbulencias 3 (Airplanes) by Carlos Amorales. Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 13,200.00 (€ 9,954.00). Admittedly, works by Carlos Amorales have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Horny Ghost in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 46,724.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2006 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Turbulencias 3 (Airplanes) von Carlos Amorales zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 13.200,00 (€ 9.954,00) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carlos Amorales auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Horny Ghost im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 46.724,81).
