Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Phillips in New York held the auction Latin America, which included the work The Nightlife of a Shadow II by Carlos Amorales. The price achieved of USD 31,250.00 (€ 23,229.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carlos Amorales - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Horny Ghost, which sold at auction in May 2017 for USD 52,500.00 (€ 46,724.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2011 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Latin America durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Nightlife of a Shadow II von Carlos Amorales zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 23.229,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Carlos Amorales mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Horny Ghost beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für USD 52.500,00 (€ 46.724,81) versteigert wurde.
