In May 2002 Christies in Milan held the auction ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA, which included the work Natura morta con limoni by Carlo Levi. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,968.00 32% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Carlo Levi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Alassio - Spiaggia in December 2002 with an auction result of EUR 22,320.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 32 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2002 führte Christies in Mailand die Auktion ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA durch, in der auch die Arbeit Natura morta con limoni von Carlo Levi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.968,00 und damit 32% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carlo Levi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Alassio - Spiaggia im Dezember 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 22.320,00.
