Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Veduta Di Sorrento by Carlo Brancaccio was auctioned at Sothebys in Milan in June 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 42,000.00 – 52,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 38,400.00. Other works by Carlo Brancaccio have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2007 by the work Mount Vesuvius from Procida at GBP 36,600.00 (€ 54,312.56).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Veduta Di Sorrento von Carlo Brancaccio im Juni 2007 bei Sothebys in Mailand versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 42.000,00 – 52.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 38.400,00 den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Carlo Brancaccio wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Juni 2007 die Arbeit Mount Vesuvius from Procida mit GBP 36.600,00 (€ 54.312,56).
