the complete set of 103 etchings, including title and dedication, First Edition, the plates before numbers, watermark Three Crescents, the full sheets, some dirt and wear to the sheet edges, otherwise in very good condition, in contemporary blue wrappers (worn and rebacked), in a modern blue cloth slipcase.

Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%

This artwork by Luca Carlevarijs achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in June 2013. In the The Collection of Arthur & Charlotte Vershbow Part Three: The Baroque and Rococo Periods auction, the work Le fabbriche e vedute di Venetia, Finazzi, Rome, 1703 sold for USD 62,500.00 (€ 48,039.97) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luca Carlevarijs achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venice: The Rialto Bridge from the North; and The Piazza San Marco in December 2003 with an auction result of GBP 1,125,250.00 (€ 1,593,769.19).

Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Luca Carlevarijs erzielte im Juni 2013 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Collection of Arthur & Charlotte Vershbow Part Three: The Baroque and Rococo Periods wurde die Arbeit Le fabbriche e vedute di Venetia, Finazzi, Rome, 1703 für USD 62.500,00 (€ 48.039,97) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Luca Carlevarijs erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Venice: The Rialto Bridge from the North; and The Piazza San Marco im Dezember 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.125.250,00 (€ 1.593.769,19).
