Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Personification Of The Rhône River; Personification Of The Saône River by Carle van Loo was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2007. The price achieved of USD 66,000.00 (€ 50,777.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Carle van Loo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Venus requesting Vulcan to make arms for Aeneas in January 2000 with an auction result of USD 277,500.00 (€ 284,411.19).

Die Arbeit Personification Of The Rhône River; Personification Of The Saône River von Carle van Loo kam im Januar 2007 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 66.000,00 (€ 50.777,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden.
