This artwork by Carle van Loo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in May last year. In the Maîtres Anciens - Dessins, Peintures, Sculptures auction, the work Nympe Au Bord De L'Eau sold for EUR 16,380.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carle van Loo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venus requesting Vulcan to make arms for Aeneas in January 2000 with an auction result of USD 277,500.00 (€ 284,411.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Carle van Loo erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Maîtres Anciens - Dessins, Peintures, Sculptures wurde die Arbeit Nympe Au Bord De L'Eau für EUR 16.380,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carle van Loo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Venus requesting Vulcan to make arms for Aeneas im Januar 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 277.500,00 (€ 284.411,19).
