Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Gitana"/"Den svarta killingen" by Carl Wilhelmson was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in June this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 500,000.00 – 700,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 420,000.00 (€ 35,653.85). Admittedly, works by Carl Wilhelmson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Fiskarflicka" (Fishergirl) in December 2017 with an auction result of SEK 2,700,000.00 (€ 274,671.44).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Gitana"/"Den svarta killingen" von Carl Wilhelmson im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 500.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 420.000,00 (€ 35.653,85) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carl Wilhelmson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Fiskarflicka" (Fishergirl) im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 2.700.000,00 (€ 274.671,44).
