Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Mt. San Jacinto, Palm Springs by Carl Sammons for USD 637.50 (€ 521.26). This price was achieved in the auction California and Western Art Online at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Carl Sammons have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Desert Bloom, Palm Springs in November this year with an auction result of USD 5,376.00 (€ 4,928.49).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Mt. San Jacinto, Palm Springs von Carl Sammons für USD 637,50 (€ 521,26) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion California and Western Art Online bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carl Sammons auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Desert Bloom, Palm Springs im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.376,00 (€ 4.928,49).
