In December 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California and Western Art Online, which included the work Coast at Monterey by Carl Sammons. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,187.50 (€ 2,816.31), 59% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Carl Sammons; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Desert Bloom, Palm Springs sold at auction in November this year with the realized price of USD 5,376.00 (€ 4,928.49).

Im Dezember 2021 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California and Western Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Coast at Monterey von Carl Sammons zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.187,50 (€ 2.816,31) und damit 59% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Carl Sammons; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Desert Bloom, Palm Springs im November diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 5.376,00 (€ 4.928,49).
