San Gorgonio - Desert, Palm Springs, Calif. changed hands for USD 637.50 (€ 521.26) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Carl Sammons have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Desert Bloom, Palm Springs in November this year with an auction result of USD 5,376.00 (€ 4,928.49).
