The work Study of an Antelope by Carl Rungius was sold in the American Art auction at Christies in New York in March 2015. The result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 23,275.30) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Rungius achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Alaskan Brown Bear-Out of the Shadows in December 2002 with an auction result of USD 581,500.00 (€ 554,601.81).

Die Arbeit Study of an Antelope von Carl Rungius wurde im März 2015 in der Auktion American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 23.275,30) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carl Rungius erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Alaskan Brown Bear-Out of the Shadows im Dezember 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 581.500,00 (€ 554.601,81).
