Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Packhorses by Carl Rungius was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2015. The price achieved of USD 47,500.00 (€ 43,205.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Rungius achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Alaskan Brown Bear-Out of the Shadows in December 2002 with an auction result of USD 581,500.00 (€ 554,601.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Packhorses von Carl Rungius kam im Mai 2015 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 43.205,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carl Rungius erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Alaskan Brown Bear-Out of the Shadows im Dezember 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 581.500,00 (€ 554.601,81).
