Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work 'Cupid and Psyche' by Carl Paul Jennewein. It changed hands for a price of USD 6,875.00 (€ 4,349.89) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Paul Jennewein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Cupid and Crane' in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 79,000.00 (€ 53,785.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Cupid and Psyche' von Carl Paul Jennewein zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 4.349,89) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carl Paul Jennewein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Cupid and Crane' im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 79.000,00 (€ 53.785,40).
