Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Bonhams held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California Part II Online, which included the work Untitled, 1959 by Carl Morris. The price achieved of USD 5,120.00 (€ 4,837.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Carl Morris have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Margin, 1959 in April this year with an auction result of USD 28,050.00 (€ 25,407.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California Part II Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled, 1959 von Carl Morris zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.120,00 (€ 4.837,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carl Morris auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Margin, 1959 im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.050,00 (€ 25.407,61).
