The work The head of Solsångaren by Carl Milles was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in December last year. It achieved a price of SEK 20,000.00 (€ 1,792.86), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Milles achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Naiad and dolphin in December 2010 with an auction result of SEK 1,100,000.00 (€ 122,609.09).

Die Arbeit The head of Solsångaren von Carl Milles kam im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von SEK 20.000,00 (€ 1.792,86) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carl Milles erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Naiad and dolphin im Dezember 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 1.100.000,00 (€ 122.609,09).
