Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Coastal scene from Tenerife by Carl Johansson was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in December 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 12,000.00 – 15,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 11,000.00 (€ 1,095.50). Admittedly, works by Carl Johansson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Spring landscape in June 2012 with an auction result of SEK 78,000.00 (€ 8,903.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Coastal scene from Tenerife von Carl Johansson im Dezember 2020 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 12.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 11.000,00 (€ 1.095,50) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carl Johansson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Spring landscape im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 78.000,00 (€ 8.903,38).
