Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Wounded Comrade by Carl Ethan Akeley was sold in the Western Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. The price achieved of USD 25,500.00 (€ 24,200.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carl Ethan Akeley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work American The Wounded Comrade, which sold at auction in November 2007 for USD 115,000.00 (€ 78,295.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Wounded Comrade von Carl Ethan Akeley wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.500,00 (€ 24.200,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Carl Ethan Akeley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit American The Wounded Comrade beobachtet, die im November 2007 für USD 115.000,00 (€ 78.295,21) versteigert wurde.
