The »bidding war« ended at GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,580.07), 38% above the upper estimate. Other works by Carel Weight have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 43,250.00 (€ 53,887.60) in May 2012 for the work The Thames at Hammersmith.
