Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Carel Weight achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in March this year. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Dusk sold for GBP 2,167.50 (€ 2,465.95) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carel Weight achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Thames at Hammersmith in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 43,250.00 (€ 53,887.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Carel Weight erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Dusk für GBP 2.167,50 (€ 2.465,95) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carel Weight erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Thames at Hammersmith im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 43.250,00 (€ 53.887,60).
