Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Cao Youguang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2005. In the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction, the work Landscape In The Style of Fan Kuan sold for HKD 132,000.00 (€ 13,746.21) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cao Youguang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 354,000.00 (€ 40,912.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Cao Youguang erzielte im Mai 2005 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY wurde die Arbeit Landscape In The Style of Fan Kuan für HKD 132.000,00 (€ 13.746,21) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Cao Youguang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 354.000,00 (€ 40.912,02) versteigert wurde.
