Eleven leaves inscribed and signed by the artist, including: Xileng Cao Youguang, Cao Youguang, Youguang, Xichou Cao Youguang, Ziye, Xichou Qishi Cao Youguang or Cao Ziye
The sixth leaf dated in the renchen year (1652)
Each leaf with one to two seals of the artist, including: You Guang, Zi Ye, Cao Shi, You Guang
Four leaves with corresponding inscriptions on the opposite page

Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscapes by Cao Youguang was sold in the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction at Christies in Hong Kong in October 2004. It changed hands for a price of HKD 28,680.00 (€ 2,889.15) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cao Youguang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 354,000.00 (€ 40,912.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscapes von Cao Youguang wurde im Oktober 2004 in der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 28.680,00 (€ 2.889,15) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cao Youguang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 354.000,00 (€ 40.912,02).
