This artwork by Cao Youguang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2010. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Landscape in the style of Fan Kuan sold for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 28,569.41) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Cao Youguang; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Landscape sold at auction in April 2015 with the realized price of HKD 354,000.00 (€ 40,912.02).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Cao Youguang erzielte im Mai 2010 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Landscape in the style of Fan Kuan für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 28.569,41) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Cao Youguang; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Landscape im April 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 354.000,00 (€ 40.912,02).
